One of the most fascinating aspects of analogue photography is the wide variation in cameras. Some people use machines that have survived for decades or even a century. Others create their own cameras out of a lunchbox. This extends the creative process of making a photo beyond pushing a button and gives an extra personal flavour to anything you make. This is why we at ~
AnalogPhotographers want to hear the story of your camera.
Do you have an antique or vintage camera with a story? We want to hear it.
Did you craft your own camera obscura? Tell us all about it.
Send a note to =
Talescaper with a picture of the camera and some photos that you made with it, as well as the story and anything else you wish to share, give it the subject Behind the Camera. ~
AnalogPhotographers will feature the most interesting stories and photos.
The more stories the better, so send some

to
the news-article.

Effective Immediately: We will no longer be watching our members. The administrative overhead is too high. Thanks!
PLEASE, do NOT put digitally manipulated photos in the club gallery! The alterations must be minimal (contrast/brightness, etc.). Some members are noticing a trend towards digital alterations.
~
AnalogPhotographers has been a community deviant since Jun 24, 2006, 1:35 PM, and already we have 100+ members. It's exciting to see the talent shared by our members!
If you didn't receive the Welcome note when you joined, send a note, and we'll get that note to you soon! It gives instructions for posting, etc.
A note on favorites: please, don't browse or favorite in the ~
AnalogPhotographers account. Similarly, remember to favorite the orignal pieces rather than the pieces posted in this gallery. Much appreciated!
If you are hopelessly analog in a digital world, watch to join us! We are a low maintenance club. You'll be allowed to submit your own deviations to the gallery here. There are just a couple of rules to follow:
1) Submit only photos that were taken with an analog camera and film.
2) This is a low tech group; Photoshop adjustments should be made only to make the photo more resemble the print.
3) Please, do not submit mature content (we the admins deviate with our young children).
4) Submit only a couple per week; we don't want to spam our watchers.
5) Disable the comments to your piece and provide a link to the original piece so that you can take comments and favorites there.
6) Do not read notes or go to messages, please.
7) Do not change any settings in the club!
Thanks for your participation!

Vision is an analog experience because we perceive infinitely smooth gradations of shapes and colors.
